Felicity Nelson is a science journalist with an interest in frogs and stars and everything in between.
After departing university with a first-class honours degree in tropical wildlife biology, Felicity worked with ScienceAlert as an intern, then went to work at
Lawyers Weekly
as a journalist.
She then switched to medical journalism, working with
The Medical Republic
for several years.
During that time, three of her features were published in
The Best Australian Science Writing
anthologies and her investigative stories were co-published with
Guardian Australia
. She became
The Medical Republic
’s Chief Operating Officer in 2020.
In May 2022, Felicity went freelance, founding a science writing and strategy consulting company called Frogs and Stars.
She loves nature photography, reading and sunsets.
